The official population figure for Morocco is set to be disclosed soon, based on data shared by Lahlimi during a recent press conference in Rabat. Lahlimi emphasized the need for a legal framework and government approval before releasing the population number to the public. The High Commission for Planning is ready to provide all relevant data from the census to assist in this process.
Furthermore, the completed census will allow Morocco to establish a detailed database covering geographical, social, and economic dimensions. Lahlimi highlighted the importance of using this data to develop key statistical indicators related to poverty, prices, and social disparities, as well as describing the economic and social conditions of Moroccan households over the next decade.
