Seventy Pakistani Citizens Evacuated from Lebanon Arrive in Karachi
A special flight carrying seventy Pakistani citizens, evacuated from Lebanon, landed in Karachi on Wednesday morning. The group was welcomed by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and provincial minister Ikramullah Dharejo at the airport.
The Pakistani nationals were repatriated from Lebanon, with some having traveled to Damascus, Syria, before being airlifted to Pakistan. Special arrangements were made by the Pakistan Embassies in Lebanon and Syria to ensure a smooth evacuation process.
In response to the escalating Israeli aggression in Lebanon, the Pakistani government facilitated the return of its citizens for their safety. Earlier, the Director General of Civil Aviation Authority (DGCAA) allowed a special flight by Cham Wings Airlines to bring back 180 Pakistanis within 48 hours.
Efforts are being coordinated between the DGCAA and the Pakistani ambassador in Lebanon to ensure a successful repatriation process. The safety and well-being of the evacuated citizens remain a top priority for the authorities.
