“They stressed that war on Gaza and Lebanon must stop and humanitarian assistance must be allowed to be provided to refugees and displaced persons immediately.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues, particularly the situations in Gaza and Lebanon.

The two officials had “useful and constructive talks on latest developments in the region and situation in Gaza and Lebanon,” as mentioned by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, on X.

Highlighting the need for immediate humanitarian assistance and cessation of the wars in Gaza and Lebanon, the ministers also reviewed the status of their bilateral relations and expressed a shared commitment to further enhance relations in various areas.

‘Self-Defense’ Attack

Recent regional developments, including Iran’s ballistic missile attack on Israel, have raised tensions. Araghchi emphasized Iran’s commitment to self-defense and warned against any aggressive actions from Israel.

The ongoing dialogues between regional powers indicate a complex geopolitical landscape, with implications beyond the immediate conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon.
