The Independent National Electoral Commission has confirmed that it will provide the Peoples Democratic Party with the necessary electoral materials for the upcoming Edo State governorship election on September 21.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Augbum Onuoha, assured the PDP that they would have access to the materials despite earlier complaints of delays by the party.

The PDP had raised concerns about alleged tampering with the materials by INEC officials, but the REC stated that the party would receive the required materials on Wednesday.

The Edo State Commissioner for Communication also accused INEC of collaborating with the APC to obstruct justice, leading to further tension between the parties.

With claims of electoral manipulation and a looming legal battle, the political landscape in Edo remains highly charged as both parties gear up for a contentious struggle over the governorship outcome.
