IHC takes action against sealing of KP House Islamabad

Islamabad High Court Approached Against Sealing of KP House

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) received a petition from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government regarding the sealing of KP House Islamabad, challenging its legality. The government is requesting to de-seal the property until a final decision is reached.

The petitioner argues that sealing the KP House, a provincial government property, is illegal. They also mentioned that seizing official vehicles after sealing is not permissible. The Peshawar High Court directed the KP government to take the matter to the IHC, making it the relevant forum for the case.

Various parties including the Secretary Law and Interior, DG Rangers, DG FIA, IG Islamabad, and Director Building and Control CDA are involved in the petition. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) had sealed blocks A and B of KP House, citing violations of rules.

With the legal battle now shifting to the Islamabad High Court, the future of KP House’s status in the capital remains uncertain. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
