Maria Zakharova also accused the West, in particular the US and Britain, of fueling conflict in the Middle East.

The Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, stated that despite Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Hezbollah has not lost its chain of command.

Zakharova criticized the West, especially the US and Britain, for exacerbating conflicts in the Middle East and supporting Israel, demonstrating hypocrisy. She condemned Israel’s recent missile attack on a residential building in Damascus, violating Syria’s sovereignty and resulting in civilian casualties.

‘Routine’ Attacks

Recent Israeli airstrikes in Syria have killed civilians and journalists, sparking condemnation from Zakharova for the escalating violence in the region. She lamented the lack of response from international organizations to the killing of journalists covering conflicts.

Staggering Death Toll

Amid ongoing conflicts, the death toll in Gaza continues to rise, with thousands killed and wounded. Zakharova highlighted the dire situation journalists face in conflict zones.

Overall, the increasing violence in the region prompted Zakharova to call for international attention and action to address the humanitarian crisis.
