Meetings discuss host of issues, including Gaza border crossings, according to Egyptian media
Palestinian groups Hamas and Fatah met in Cairo to address Israel’s attacks on Gaza. Hamas was represented by Khalil al-Hayya and Fatah by Mahmoud al-Aloul.
The talks aimed to unite national ranks, discuss Israeli aggression, and address political and field developments.
Both factions are working towards a comprehensive national unity following a meeting in China, aiming to establish a temporary national unity government.
The ongoing division between Fatah and Hamas has hindered Palestinian affairs, with Israel’s continued offensive on Gaza causing devastating casualties and displacements.
