Biden’s first talks with Netanyahu in weeks

President Joe Biden recently had a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after almost two months, amidst Israel’s heightened violent attacks in the region. Vice President Kamala Harris also joined the conversation, emphasizing the importance of the discussion.

On the other hand, Netanyahu’s office confirmed a recent call with former President Donald Trump. Trump praised Israel’s operations against Hezbollah and expressed confidence in his return to White House, boosting global peace efforts.

Amid escalating tensions, Israel is deliberating its response to Iran’s recent missile attacks. Biden has urged against Israeli strikes on Tehran’s nuclear sites. Israel has engaged in targeted operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, leading to heightened conflict in the region.

The U.S. maintains its presence in the Middle East to safeguard American and Israeli interests. Biden’s call with Netanyahu came after reports of growing distrust between the leaders, with Biden expressing frustrations over Netanyahu’s statements about Hamas.
