Azerbaijan Army and NATO Strengthen Relations
Recently, First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, met with NATO’s Director General of the International Military Staff, Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak. The meeting highlighted the strong relations between Azerbaijan and NATO, emphasizing the ongoing cooperation and partnership.
Colonel General Valiyev discussed the significant Victory achieved in the Patriotic War under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership. He reiterated the commitment of the Azerbaijan Army to international humanitarian law during military operations, focusing on civilian protection.
The discussion also addressed the challenges in the liberated territories, particularly mine terrorism from Armenian occupation. The meeting highlighted the importance of ongoing cooperation in the military and educational spheres.
Lieutenant General Adamczak praised the contributions of the Azerbaijan Army in various fields and expressed gratitude for their participation in peacekeeping missions. The NATO delegation visited significant sites, including the Alley of Martyrs and the Military Trophy Park.
