Ukraine targets Russian oil hub in ‘critical phase’ of war – Zelenskyy

Ukraine’s military targeted a major oil terminal in Crimea supplying fuel for Russia’s war effort, marking a crucial phase in the ongoing conflict. Both sides are grappling with sustaining their costly war of attrition since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

The strike on the oil terminal in Feodosia aims to weaken Russia’s military and economic capacity, with Russian authorities reporting a fire at the site. Ukraine’s strategic strikes on vital rear areas continue, hindering Russian support for front-line units in eastern Ukraine.

President Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of the current phase, urging international support to pressure Russia for peace. Amidst intensified airstrikes and missile attacks, Ukraine’s air force intercepted incoming threats, proving resilient despite challenges.

As the conflict escalates, developments are anticipated at a defense meeting in Germany. Zelenskyy reaffirmed Ukraine’s commitment to prevailing through strength and continuing the fight for peace.

Despite the escalating violence, Ukraine remains determined to resist Russian aggression and protect its sovereignty against all odds.
