Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday said he will support any chief ministerial candidate announced by allies Congress or NCP (SP) to “save” Maharashtra.
Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray expressed support for any chief ministerial candidate put forth by Congress or NCP (SP) to safeguard Maharashtra’s interests.
During an event, Thackeray criticized the Maharashtra government for spreading false narratives through ads before the upcoming assembly elections.
He also criticized the Ladki Bahin scheme, accusing the government of trying to manipulate people by distributing money.
The Maharashtra assembly elections with 288 seats are expected to take place next month.
Thackeray emphasized his party’s support for the CM candidate chosen by Congress or NCP (SP) for the state’s welfare.
In a previous statement, Thackeray prioritized selecting MVA’s CM face based on alliance decision, rather than focusing on the seat count.
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut commended Thackeray’s inclusive approach for the betterment of Maharashtra.
Raut clarified that Thackeray’s decision was not influenced by any external pressures but was in the state’s best interest.
