An Israeli air strike in Damascus targeted a building used by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Hezbollah, resulting in the deaths of four people, including two non-Syrians, according to a war monitor.
While the Syrian defense ministry reported that seven civilians, including women and children, were killed in the attack, noting that the toll was preliminary as rescuers continued to search for survivors under the rubble.
The strike, which originated from the Golan Heights, destroyed the first three floors of the building in the densely populated Mazzeh neighborhood. This incident follows previous Israeli strikes in Damascus on Oct. 1 that resulted in casualties.
The aftermath of the strike showed debris covering the area, with ambulances and excavators arriving to aid in rescue efforts and clear the wreckage.
