Russian and Chinese navy warships recently conducted joint patrol missions in the northwestern Pacific Ocean, focusing on practicing anti-submarine missions. The two countries’ ships organized anti-submarine defense tactics and maneuvers as part of their collaboration in the Asia-Pacific region. This joint effort follows their participation in the Beibu/Interaction 2024 naval exercises in September, indicating a growing partnership between the two naval forces.
During the patrols, training sessions and combat exercises were carried out to enhance coordination and skills in anti-submarine operations and sea rescue missions. The Russian Pacific Fleet contributed its large anti-submarine destroyers, while China fielded destroyers, a frigate, and an integrated supply ship for the joint maneuvers.
These exercises signify the increasing cooperation between Russia and China in ensuring maritime security in the region. With a focus on anti-submarine warfare and defense, the joint patrols enhance both countries’ naval capabilities and readiness for potential threats in the Pacific Ocean.
