Qatar sends aid flight to Lebanon amid Israeli attacks.

Qatar has launched an airlift to deliver crucial humanitarian aid to Lebanon amidst ongoing Israeli attacks. Ten C-17 planes will transport medical supplies, shelter materials, and food to assist those impacted by the crisis. Minister Lolwah Al-Khater expressed concerns over the Israeli offensive on Lebanon’s healthcare system and reiterated Qatar’s support for Lebanon’s government and people.

The Qatari official emphasized the importance of addressing underlying issues, including those concerning Gaza, for a lasting solution. Al-Abiad, Lebanon’s Health Minister, acknowledged the strain on the healthcare system and highlighted the need for a ceasefire and diplomatic solutions for recovery. Qatar’s assistance will help healthcare workers provide for the needs of the injured and displaced.

Al-Khater met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati to emphasize Qatar’s firm position regarding Lebanon’s sovereignty and security. Israel’s extensive airstrikes in Lebanon have resulted in numerous casualties and displacements, escalating the conflict with Hezbollah. The humanitarian airlift aims to support Lebanon and its people during this challenging time.
