Al-Abiad, Lebanon’s Health Minister, acknowledged the strain on the healthcare system and highlighted the need for a ceasefire and diplomatic solutions for recovery. Qatar’s assistance will help healthcare workers provide for the needs of the injured and displaced.
Al-Khater met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati to emphasize Qatar’s firm position regarding Lebanon’s sovereignty and security. Israel’s extensive airstrikes in Lebanon have resulted in numerous casualties and displacements, escalating the conflict with Hezbollah. The humanitarian airlift aims to support Lebanon and its people during this challenging time.
