Russia Tests New VTOL Drone in Yakutia
Russia recently tested a new VTOL drone in Yakutia, showcasing its ability to deliver cargo between remote settlements in the region. The drone, equipped with an electric engine, can cover distances up to 200 kilometers at a maximum altitude of 1,000 meters.
This drone does not require a runway for takeoff, as it is capable of vertical takeoff. During a test flight, the drone successfully completed a 150-kilometer journey to deliver medicine, correspondence, and sweets to children in the village of Keptin in just 1.5 hours. A similar journey by land would have taken six to nine hours, depending on weather conditions.
Exploring Yakutia
