Welcome to the Istanbul Symposium on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
The Turkish city of Istanbul recently hosted a thought-provoking symposium on the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Titled “Israeli-Palestinian Issue and International Law: Changing Dimensions in Its First Year,” the event took place at Istanbul University’s rectorate building.

Istanbul University rector, Prof. Osman Bulent Zulfikar, highlighted the importance of addressing the legal, humanitarian, political, and commercial dimensions of this long-standing conflict.
Zulfikar emphasized the urgency of finding a resolution to the Israel-Palestine issue, stating that the ongoing atrocities not only impact the region but also pose a threat to global peace and security. The symposium also featured a screening of a documentary showcasing Israel’s war crimes in Gaza.
