Iraq Extends Aid to Displaced Lebanese Families in Wake of Israeli Conflict
In response to the escalating violence in Lebanon due to Israeli airstrikes, Iraq has amplified its humanitarian efforts to support displaced Lebanese families. The Iraqi government, along with religious authorities, has mobilized extensive aid campaigns to assist those fleeing the conflict.
One notable contributor to the relief efforts is the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, which has established a support center in Damascus, Syria, to provide essential medical, food, and logistical support to displaced Lebanese families. Under the guidance of Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, the shrine aims to offer refuge to those escaping the conflict, with plans to transport many to Karbala, Iraq, for free accommodation.
In addition to aid convoys delivering vital supplies to Lebanon and Syria, Iraq has deployed mobile clinics and set up a field hospital to provide medical care to the injured. The Iraqi government has also announced measures to accommodate displaced Lebanese nationals, including free visas and medical transfers to Karbala for urgent treatment.
Despite the ongoing conflict, Iraq remains committed to supporting displaced Lebanese families in their time of need.
