A recent gathering at the “Solidarity with Palestine” forum in Johannesburg focused on the theme “The Power of Culture and Education as Tools for Positive Change.” The event, held at the Cultural Attaché building, brought together a diverse group of attendees including government representatives, political parties, ambassadors, diplomats, and university professors.
The gathering also addressed the recent tragic events involving the assassination of prominent figures like Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah, and Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas’ Political Leader. Nasrallah was killed in a “terrorist attack” by the Israeli regime in Beirut’s southern suburbs, while Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran during a ceremony for Iran’s newly-elected president.
This forum highlighted the importance of cultural and educational initiatives in driving positive change and fostering solidarity with Palestine. Despite these challenging times, the attendees came together to discuss solutions and strategies for a better future.
