PTI Founder and Leaders Facing Legal Troubles in Islamabad
Legal troubles continue to mount for PTI founder Imran Khan and other party leaders with 13 cases lodged against them in the capital and surrounding areas. Non-bailable warrants have been issued for the arrest of KP CM Gandapur, while Imran’s sisters, Aleema and Uzma, are on one-day remand.
The cases allege that Imran Khan incited party workers to riots and violence against the state due to special facilities provided to him in jail. The FIRs accuse PTI leaders of sedition, terrorism, and attempted murder following clashes during a protest march.
Protesters were reported to have thrown petrol bombs, stones, and opened fire on police. Imran Khan and CM Gandapur allegedly ordered disruptions of government functions, with PTI leaders allegedly funding and inciting violence.
PTI activists responsible for violence have been taken into custody, with arrests and legal proceedings ongoing for several party members.
