CIS Leaders Align on Global and Regional Issues

This coordination aims to advocate for a just world order with the UN playing a central role. Leaders discussed deepening cooperation within the CIS framework and enhancing collaboration on international matters.

Putin highlighted the growing importance of the BRICS group and the increasing trade between Russia and CIS countries. He also mentioned the rapid progress of import substitution processes within the CIS region, strengthening the countries’ technical sovereignty.

The fight against terrorism and extremism, as well as the use of national currencies in settlements within the CIS, were also key topics of discussion during the meeting.
