Amid the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, Beijing has stepped in to provide emergency medical supplies to Lebanon, as announced by China’s official foreign aid agency. The aid aims to assist Lebanon in delivering much-needed medical assistance following recent explosions and air strikes that have caused a significant number of casualties.
In a statement, spokesperson Li Ming stated that the aid was requested by the Lebanese government to support the country amidst the intensifying hostilities. The situation has further deteriorated with Hezbollah launching air strikes against Israel in solidarity with Hamas.
Notably, Israeli forces reported the killing of Suhail Hussein Husseini, Hezbollah’s logistics commander in Beirut. This targeted strike is part of Israel’s efforts to disrupt weapon transfers between Iran and Hezbollah. The conflict has expanded beyond Israel and Hamas, involving multiple countries in the Middle East.
