Calls for Transparency Spark Protests

Protests Planned by Nursing Professions and Health Technologies Students in Morocco

The National Coordination of Students, Graduates, and Nurses from the Higher Institutes of Nursing Professions and Health Technologies in Morocco has announced protests and marches from October 9 to 11. Participants will wear black armbands to show their disapproval of recent decisions made by authorities.

The Ministry of Interior instructed local authorities to appoint municipal employees for training in nursing professions and health technologies to address workforce shortages. This has sparked outrage among students and graduates, who argue that the qualifications of these appointed employees are lacking and the transparency in training is insufficient.

In response, the nursing coordination plans a nationwide protest on October 25 and a boycott of classes and training. They criticize the exploitation of students to fill staff shortages without adequate compensation and the deterioration of training institute infrastructure.

Join the protesters as they fight for fair treatment and quality education in healthcare professions.
