Amnesty Intl. accuses Israel of apartheid on Oct.7 anniversary

Amnesty International UK has accused Israel of escalating attacks on Lebanon, claiming that the conflict did not start with recent events but dates back 76 years to the establishment of the Jewish state. The organization called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and an end to decades of displacement and discrimination.

In addition to a video addressing the anniversary of Hamas’s attacks, Amnesty International Israel commemorated the victims of the October 7 massacre, acknowledging the impact on communities and individuals. While condemning the violence perpetrated by both Hamas and Israel, the group emphasized the need for accountability and adherence to international laws.

Amnesty International Israel affirmed Israel’s right to defend its citizens but stressed the importance of respecting humanitarian laws and avoiding civilian casualties. The group called for unbiased interpretation and a focus on building mutual understanding for all residents in the region.
