Trump: Migrant bringing ‘bad genes’ to US
Republican presidential nominee
Donald Trump
has suggested that migrants who have committed murder in the US did so because “it’s in their genes.” He also mentioned that there are “a lot of bad genes in our country right now.”

Trump’s comments are part of his ongoing rhetoric that immigrants are altering the genetic composition of the nation. By evoking language reminiscent of Adolf Hitler, he previously claimed that migrants entering the US illegally are “poisoning the blood of our country.”

During a radio interview with host Hugh Hewitt, Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris while discussing immigration statistics provided by the US Department of Homeland Security, which cover cases from his own administration.

Trump’s campaign clarified that his remarks about genes were specifically in reference to murderers, not migrants as a whole. They criticized the media for misinterpreting his words.

The Biden administration has tightened asylum restrictions for migrants, and Harris has emphasized a tougher approach to immigration to address vulnerabilities in her campaign.

Trump has a history of making derogatory comments about immigrants, labeling them as “animals” and “killers” while also spreading misinformation about their behavior and origins.
