Amidst the ongoing conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Azerbaijani Army initiated a counter-offensive operation, dubbed as the “Iron Fist”, on September 27, 2020 in response to provocation by the Armenian armed forces along the frontline. The 44-day Second Karabakh War concluded with the liberation of Azerbaijan’s territories from nearly three decades of Armenian occupation.
As the conflict raged on, the twelfth day witnessed intense military activities. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported continuous shelling by Armenian forces on villages in various regions, resulting in casualties and damages to civilian properties. Additionally, a captured Azerbaijani individual, later revealed to be Armenian, caused a stir on social media.
The Ministry of Defense released footage showing armored vehicles seized as trophies and the destruction caused by Armenian attacks. Furthermore, Armenia’s Grad missile launcher targeting Azerbaijani towns was neutralized.
Despite the adversity, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense showcased successful operations, including the destruction of enemy vehicles and the recovery of Armenian missile shells. The conflict continues to escalate, with both sides engaged in a fierce battle for control.
