Syrian Prime Minister Discusses Relief Supplies for Arrivals from Lebanon
In a meeting with the Chargé d’affaires of the Iraqi Embassy, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali discussed coordination mechanisms to secure relief supplies for arrivals from Lebanon. Expressing the Syrian government’s interest in providing services and facilities to the Lebanese arrivals, al-Jalali emphasized the importance of meeting their needs and providing logistical and health services.
Despite economic challenges due to terrorism and imposed blockades, Syria is committed to providing for the arrivals. The Chargé d’Affairs of the Iraqi Embassy highlighted the necessity of cooperation between the two countries to assist the Lebanese arrivals, acknowledging the support from various Syrian bodies.
The discussions emphasized the historical relations between Syria and Iraq, focusing on enhancing economic, commercial, energy, education, research, health, and trade relations. Both sides highlighted the importance of removing obstacles that hinder economic development between the two countries.
