Severe storm hits Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

Over the weekend, Peshawar and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were hit by heavy rain and windstorms, causing power outages and damage to crops, but thankfully no loss of life was reported. In Peshawar, several areas were inundated with rainwater, leading to power outages across the city. The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) reported that many areas were without power due to the storm, but efforts were underway to restore power to the affected regions.

In Bajaur, farmers suffered losses due to the heavy rain and hailstorm, with maize crops and vegetables being badly affected. The Met department predicted more rain and windstorms in the coming days, with the provincial capital likely to experience more rainfall. Despite the challenges faced by farmers and residents, officials are working to minimize the impact of the storm and provide assistance where needed.
