During the “Common Future” Ukraine Reconstruction Congress in Poznań, Jacek Piechota, President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, noted that over 300 Polish companies have registered in Ukraine during the war. He emphasized the opportunity for the Polish economy in participating in Ukraine’s rebuilding process.
Piechota highlighted the increasing economic cooperation between Poland and Ukraine, with 3,000 Polish firms showing interest in contributing to Ukraine’s recovery through the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. He stressed the importance of international support, especially from Poland, in helping Ukraine establish a modern economy post-conflict.
The congress, now in its second edition, aims to facilitate discussions on Ukraine’s economic needs and opportunities for Polish companies. With over 1,000 participants, including entrepreneurs, government officials, and local leaders from both countries, the event features 40 debates and presentations from 100 speakers, providing a platform for networking and collaboration.
This gathering is crucial in preparing Polish businesses for anticipated large-scale investments once international and EU funds become available for Ukraine’s reconstruction.
