South Korea and Philippines elevate relationship to ‘strategic partnership’

Marcos has recently strengthened defense ties with Vietnam as a response to Chinese aggression. Yoon also committed to assisting in enhancing the Philippines’ military capabilities.
The visit marked the beginning of Yoon’s six-day tour, which includes stops in Singapore and Laos for the ASEAN summit. The leaders’ efforts aim to promote stability and cooperation in the region.
