Morocco remains top choice for global offshoring services

Morocco Ranks High in Global Offshoring Industry

Morocco has solidified its position as a leading player in the global offshoring industry, with a special focus on call center services. The prestigious Spanish magazine, Parada Visual, recently showcased Morocco as a key global hub for these services.

Boasting a multilingual workforce and a prime location, Morocco has become an attractive destination for international businesses. The government’s incentives aimed at drawing substantial foreign investment further support this growth.

In 2022, Morocco’s offshoring sector generated over 100,000 jobs, and this number is expected to surpass 150,000 in the near future. This thriving industry contributes over 10 billion dirhams annually to the Moroccan economy, representing almost 4% of the country’s GDP.

Morocco’s favorable tax policies play a crucial role in enticing international companies to set up operations in the country. Corporate tax exemptions for the initial five years, followed by reduced tax rates, attract businesses looking to optimize operational costs.

With free zones like Casanearshore and Technopolis offering ideal conditions for outsourcing companies, and labor costs 30-50% lower than European counterparts, Morocco stands out as a competitive destination. Initiatives such as the “Morocco Digital 2020” program, providing training subsidies and tax relief, further enhance the country’s appeal to foreign investors.
