Liberman speaks on Israel’s Lebanon operation

Israeli politician Avigdor Liberman suggests that Israel should occupy southern Lebanon until Hezbollah is no longer a threat. Despite criticizing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for ignoring warnings of a possible Hamas invasion, Liberman supports the idea of invading Lebanon to disarm Hezbollah.

Liberman, a former defense minister, argues that any diplomatic settlement that doesn’t disarm Hezbollah will only lead to future problems. He proposes creating a security zone in southern Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah attacks on Israel.

He acknowledges past failures in such zones but believes the strategy could succeed with proper execution and adjustments. Liberman emphasizes the need for a strong military presence in southern Lebanon to deter Hezbollah attacks.

He also advocates for Israel to take a firm stand against Iran and handle its nuclear program independently. He believes that Israel’s regional allies will support its actions against Tehran.
