Bill Proposed to Prosecute Gaza Massacre Perpetrators
Knesset members Rothman and Malinovsky are planning to introduce a bill after the High Holidays to prosecute those responsible for the October 7, 2023, massacre in Gaza border communities. Despite delays in legal action efforts due to concerns about hostage negotiations with Hamas, the proposed law aims to establish a specialized court for genocide to address the events of that day.
The bill also includes provisions for an administrative tribunal to determine terrorist participation based on evidence, designating perpetrators as unlawful combatants. Representatives from various ministries will oversee who faces genocide charges. MK Malinovsky emphasized the government’s moral duty to prioritize prosecuting those involved, while Rothman highlighted the importance of the new court for delivering justice.
