Jordan Wraps Up Workshop on Green Chemistry for Sustainability

Jordan recently made significant progress in promoting green growth through a specialized workshop organized by the Water, Environment, and Climate Change Center at the Royal Scientific Society. The workshop, part of the Green Chemistry Project, focused on implementing green chemistry principles in various industries to support sustainability.

The event, held in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Yale University, and supervised by UNIDO, brought together global experts to discuss the importance of green chemistry in transitioning towards a green economy. Speakers emphasized resource efficiency, recycled raw materials, and reduced chemical risks in industrial applications.

The workshop also included sessions on green chemistry innovation, entrepreneurship, and practical applications. Participants developed action plans to integrate green chemistry into local industries for a circular economy, reducing hazardous chemical usage and greenhouse gas emissions.

This initiative reflects Jordan’s commitment to green growth and sustainable practices. The project aims to foster green entrepreneurship, drive research for sustainable development, and mitigate health and environmental risks associated with hazardous chemicals.
