The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemns the United Nations Security Council’s inaction on Israel’s aggressive actions.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, criticized the Security Council for failing to address Israel’s military assaults on Syria. Israel often targets military positions in Syria, particularly those held by Hezbollah, an ally of the Syrian government against foreign-backed terrorists.
Despite frequent attacks, Israel rarely acknowledges its actions in Syria. The Syrian government has repeatedly called on the UN Security Council to intervene and stop Israel’s violations of Syrian sovereignty.
Baghaei highlighted Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, emphasizing the regime’s militant nature. He urged the Security Council to take action against Israel’s crimes and hold its Western supporters accountable for violating international law.
Recent airstrikes by Israel in central Syria caused material losses but no casualties, according to the Syrian defense ministry. The escalation of attacks on Lebanon has led to retaliatory actions by Hezbollah.
