Fubara says he’ll leave when his time comes

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has urged his people to engage in politics responsibly, emphasizing that violence and destruction of public property should not be part of the political process. He made these statements during a visit to the Ikwerre Local Government Council Secretariat, which was recently set ablaze by political thugs.

Expressing his disappointment over the incident, Fubara questioned why a legacy project like the council Secretariat, built by the immediate past chairman, was being destroyed due to political reasons. He emphasized the need for civility in the political arena and stressed the importance of acting responsibly, even in the face of provocation.

Fubara condemned the actions of those responsible for the destruction and urged law enforcement agencies to investigate and hold the culprits accountable. He highlighted the negative impact of such incidents on the development of the region and called for unity and responsible behavior among the people of Rivers State.

As a leader, Fubara pledged to uphold his responsibilities and leave office when the time comes, setting an example for others to follow in the pursuit of a peaceful and prosperous political environment.
