Monyela warned of potential prosecution and dismissals for those who align with Helen Zille, emphasizing the need to protect the revolution.

Cosatu’s first deputy president, Mike Shingange, called for increased resources for essential services like education, healthcare, and law enforcement. The organization is protesting against the economic crisis, unemployment, poverty, and inequality, advocating for a more equitable distribution of resources.
