Russian missile hits Ukrainian ship during ammo unloading – MOD (VIDEO)

Russian forces have reportedly destroyed a Ukrainian ship carrying Western-made ammunition in the Odessa Region, a Defense Ministry statement from Moscow confirmed. The attack was carried out using an Iskander-M short-range ballistic missile while the vessel was unloading in the Yuzhny Seaport. The video footage released shows the moment of impact, resulting in the detonation of the ammunition on board.

Although the specific country of origin for the arms shipment was not disclosed, the destruction of weapons of European origin was evident. Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odessa regional administration, clarified that the missile strike damaged a “civilian vessel” without casualties reported.

Russia’s use of Iskander missiles to target strategic military locations in Ukraine has been a consistent strategy to disrupt Western military support. The ongoing conflict has drawn criticism from Russian officials who argue that Western involvement is exacerbating the situation. Despite the destruction of weapons, the conflict shows no signs of abating.
