KP Assembly reschedules session today to discuss CM Gandapur’s disappearance

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session scheduled for today has been delayed due to the unknown whereabouts of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. Conflicting statements about his arrest have been issued, with the government denying his arrest following protests in Islamabad.

Protesters, including Gandapur’s caravan, breached the police cordon in Islamabad after a demonstration held by PTI in response to Imran Khan’s call for a peaceful protest. Rumors of Gandapur’s arrest circulated after he left party workers in Islamabad and disappeared from the KP House.

Despite the confusion, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi refuted claims of Gandapur’s arrest, stating there was no evidence of his custody. The KP Assembly is set to discuss the use of force by authorities at the KP CM’s residence in the capital.

PTI leadership has vowed to continue protests until receiving directives from Imran Khan. As tensions rise, PML-N has expressed concerns over prolonged protests by PTI and urged swift government action.

The Islamabad High Court has intervened, ordering the government to restore normalcy in the city and allocate a specific location for PTI’s protest.
