External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed on their first bilateral visit to India. The Maldivian delegation arrived in New Delhi for discussions aimed at enhancing the relationship between the two nations.
Jaishankar expressed his optimism about the talks, stating, “Confident that his talks with PM Narendra Modi tomorrow will give a new impetus to our friendly ties.” The visit, scheduled from October 6-10, is a result of an official invitation from President Droupadi Murmu.
