IDF reports 440 Hezbollah members killed in Lebanon invasion

Israel launched a ground operation in southern Lebanon earlier this week to combat pro-Palestinian militants, resulting in the deaths of 440 Hezbollah members, including 30 commanding officers. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced limited ground raids into Lebanon after a series of airstrikes that killed senior Hezbollah leaders. Hezbollah retaliated by launching over 130 projectiles into Israel, prompting further Israeli airstrikes. Despite the conflict, Hezbollah managed to repel an Israeli incursion in Odaisseh.

The IDF suffered its first casualties of the operation, with eight Israeli commandos killed in firefights. The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah began nearly a year ago with clashes in Gaza. More than 2,000 people have been killed in Lebanon due to Israeli strikes since last October. Hezbollah has vowed to continue attacking Israel until a ceasefire is secured in Gaza.
