13 dead in Israeli airstrikes on south, east Lebanon

The ongoing Israeli bombardments of Beirut’s southern suburbs, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Lebanese towns have resulted in the tragic deaths of at least 13 people. The Israeli army conducted 12 airstrikes targeting key areas in Beirut, resulting in one person being killed in Saad Nayel neighborhood and the director of Al-Abrar School losing his life in the Rashaya Valley town of Al-Rafid.

Additionally, a woman passed away from injuries sustained in an airstrike in the town of Ain, while two young men were killed in Marj Harouf area of Nabatieh province. The Israeli attack also targeted a motorcycle, fortunately, the rider managed to escape. More casualties were reported in Zawtar and Majdal Selm in southern Lebanon.

Furthermore, four bodies were recovered from the rubble in Joya town of Tyre district following an Israeli airstrike, and intense bombings near Burj al-Barajneh in Beirut’s southern suburbs have left the area devastated. The escalating violence has caused concern among the international community about the potential for a wider regional conflict.
