‘음주운전은 살인’ 문다혜 예외돼야 할까

In a recent press conference, Choo Kyung-ho, the floor leader of the main opposition People Power Party, criticized the handling of former President Moon Jae-in’s daughter, Da-hye’s, drunk driving incident, stating that she should not be treated as an exception. He condemned the ruling Democratic Party, calling for an end to favoritism and “selfishness” within the party. Choo also expressed disappointment in the lack of a definitive stance from the Democratic Party’s leadership, particularly in comparison to the strict scrutiny applied to others for similar offenses.

The incident involving Da-hye occurred in Seoul’s Yongsan district, where she was involved in a collision while driving under the influence. Police confirmed her blood alcohol level was above the legal limit, leading to the suspension of her driver’s license. The People Power Party’s strong stance on the matter highlights the need for accountability and consistency in addressing such offenses.

As public scrutiny intensifies, the handling of Da-hye’s case remains a topic of debate, emphasizing the importance of upholding ethical standards and justice in society.
