Ukraine to boost collaboration with OECD in digital and regulatory policy.

The Cabinet of Ministers in Ukraine has taken a significant step towards enhancing the country’s digital economy and regulatory policies. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the adoption of two crucial documents to initiate Ukraine’s accession to the Digital Economy Policy Committee and Regulatory Policy Committee of the OECD. This move will provide Ukraine with valuable access to information and partnerships, allowing the country to learn from successful nations and implement effective solutions in these areas.

Shmyhal emphasized the importance of cooperation with the OECD, describing it as a club of successful countries that can assist Ukraine in adopting best practices in public administration and driving effective changes. Additionally, the approval of these documents will enable Ukraine to secure an additional EUR 62 million in financing from the European Investment Bank for energy projects.

This strategic decision highlights Ukraine’s commitment to modernizing and aligning with global standards in the digital and regulatory spheres. By joining these OECD committees, Ukraine is poised to benefit from international expertise and collaboration, ultimately fostering economic growth and innovation in the country.
