Ukraine targets 3 Russian command posts with Storm Shadows and GMLRS, military says

Ukrainian forces made a significant move by striking three Russian command posts using advanced Storm Shadow missiles and GMLRS rockets. The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported these attacks on Oct. 5, targeting key bases of Russian military brigades and the 2nd Combined Arms Army. These precision strikes were conducted recently, with the outcomes still being evaluated.

The use of U.S.-supplied GMLRS rockets, with a range of 70 kilometers, enhanced Ukraine’s ability to target Russian forces accurately. Additionally, the British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles were previously deployed by Ukraine to hit Russian military targets in Crimea, highlighting the effectiveness of Western-supplied weaponry in the ongoing conflict.

Despite calls for permission to strike deeper into Russian territory, concerns about escalation have delayed such decisions. In the meantime, Ukraine has been disrupting Russian logistics by targeting ammunition depots in Russia using domestically-produced weapons and drones. These strategic moves demonstrate Ukraine’s determination to defend its sovereignty and challenge Russian aggression through innovative military tactics.
