The Success of the 2024 Rivers State Local Government Election: A Perspective from David Omereji

The 2024 Rivers State Local Government Election in Asari-Toru LGA witnessed APC Candidate Mr. Okounaina West and Mr. Johnson Wokoama casting their votes, showcasing the democratic process in action. However, the real highlight came from David Omereji, the Chairmanship Candidate of the Action Peoples Party APP in Emohua Local Government Area.

Omereji boldly stated that no one could rig the election, emphasizing the determination of the people to uphold peace and integrity throughout the process. Despite the absence of police operatives due to a ruling from the Federal High Court, the election proceeded smoothly, with voters exercising their rights without fear or intimidation.

Omereji commended RSIEC for their seamless coordination of the election and expressed his confidence in the genuine outcome reflecting the will of the people. This peaceful and successful election serves as a testament to the progress towards fair and transparent electoral processes in Rivers State.
