During the 19th summit of the International Organization of Francophonie, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a fruitful meeting with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo. They discussed enhancing cooperation between Armenia and Belgium, as well as the security situation in the South Caucasus region.
Pashinyan emphasized Armenia’s commitment to the peace agenda despite aggressive rhetoric from Azerbaijan, while De Croo praised Armenian efforts towards peace and stability in the region. They also exchanged ideas on the “Crossroads of Peace” project to improve regional communication.
The leaders also talked about strengthening Armenia-European Union cooperation, with De Croo expressing Belgium’s readiness to support the process. Overall, the meeting highlighted the mutual desire for peace, stability, and enhanced cooperation between the two countries.
