Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay have worked in Master and Leo.
Lokesh Kanagaraj reveals his thoughts on Vijay’s entry into politics, expressing his desire to see the actor continue acting in movies.
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for working with Thalapathy Vijay in films like Master and Leo, recently shared his views on Vijay stepping into politics. Kanagaraj expressed his hope to see Vijay continue his acting career in movies, despite the actor’s political ambitions.
In an interview with Sun News, Kanagaraj mentioned his desire for Vijay to stay active in the film industry. He stated, “It’s my wish to see Vijay Anna act in cinema. But I am not big enough a person to say anything. It’s my wish, but his goal is towards politics. So I wish him well and want to send my good wishes.”
Earlier this year, Vijay announced his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, stating his intent to focus on politics after a couple more movie projects. He emphasized the need for a change in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape, advocating for principles of equality and constitutional values.
Vijay’s party is set to contest in the 2026 elections, following his official party launch earlier this year. Meanwhile, his latest movie, The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), has hit theaters, with Thalapathy 69 in the works as potentially his final film before fully embracing his political journey in Tamil Nadu.
