PESHAWAR: Urgent KP Assembly Session Summoned Amid PTI Protest Chaos

An urgent session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly has been called on Sunday in response to recent chaos surrounding the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) protest, as per ARY News. Originally scheduled for October 7, the sitting has been rescheduled for 2 pm on Tuesday following the arrests of activists in Islamabad.

The PTI retracted claims of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s arrest, stating he was confined at KP House in Islamabad. The KP government spokesperson confirmed the siege of KP House and Gandapur’s confinement. While CM Gandapur’s brother alleged his arrest, the government sources denied it.

Allegations of IG Islamabad police arresting the chief minister on charges of attack on the state and misuse of official protocol were made. Despite obtaining protective bail from Peshawar High Court, Gandapur was claimed to have been arrested by Senior PTI leader Omar Ayub. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad has been sealed post the alleged arrest.
