Iranian Foreign Minister Visits Damascus to Address Israeli Aggression in Lebanon
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Damascus to discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression in Lebanon and bolster ties between Iran and Syria. Following discussions in Beirut focused on regional tensions, Araghchi’s main objective is to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon.
Araghchi emphasized the need for international intervention to halt the violence, stating that Iran is committed to pursuing a peaceful resolution. He will meet with Syrian counterpart Bassam Sabbagh to advocate for unity among Arab nations against Israel’s actions and coordinate efforts through international organizations.
As a sign of Iran’s dedication, the Foreign Ministry announced a humanitarian initiative to provide 10 tons of food and medical supplies to Lebanon. Araghchi stressed the urgency of addressing Lebanon’s plight and emphasized the importance of collective action in the region.
