In a shocking incident, suspected explosives caused significant damage to the secretariat of the All Progressives Congress along Aba Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The explosion, believed to be dynamite, resulted in the destruction of buildings and property, including the gate and various items within the secretariat.
This is not the first time the Chief Tony Okocha-led APC has faced such an attack this year at their secretariat in Port Harcourt. The incident took place just as the local government elections were set to be held in Rivers State, with sensitive materials already distributed to the local government areas.
A video of the aftermath showed workers assessing the damage, while the state police command spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, mentioned they were yet to receive a report on the incident. The party itself has not released a statement regarding the explosion.
